So we were assigned to paint this small building that looked disgusting and old. This was a great project for the kids because they couldn't mess it up. Even Savannah could slap some white paint on. My kids have never painted before and oh my gosh they had no clue, they were slopping paint everywhere! But it turned out fine! After that we went to Melissa and picked up hundreds of beer bottles and trash off the road. Savannah was such a trooper. We rewarded her with a sonic blast. Laman and Lemuel were another story. They worked hard but complained the whole time. I would just look at them and say "murmur, murmur, murmur" Carter fell somewhere in the middle with his attitude. Then we went to the church to write letters to the troops. We were done by noon and took the kids and the dog to the football field to play. Then haircuts, and Billy took Savannah and Carter to the schools fall festival. Then we had the missionaries over for dinner. It was a busy day but didn't seem like it. Fun and relaxing!
Funny story (only so I can remember haha) When I let the dog loose on the football field she still had her leash on. She ran full speed past carter to her open freedom. He turned right at that second and the end of the leash wrapped around his ankle....needless to say at the speed she was running he was airborn and when he came down it was face first in the grass....I thought he had broken another tooth but it was just a busted lip...It was sad but hilarious at the same time...I couldn't stop laughing...I am a terrible mom. I think he cried more at my laughing than the busted lip...lol.
