Thank you Christine for getting me these pics! They don't let parents on the field and he can't take his uniform home so I can never get a picture. He is doing great and the one where he caught the ball he was on defense and intercepted it and ran it back 60 yards. He starts on Offense and Defense (as long as he the coaches feel like it) Sometimes they are moody. It has been great for him to play though because it makes him keep his grades up!

Melanies Shower
Shara and I had planned to surprise Melanie with a baby shower at Olive Garden but she was put on bedrest. The girls were so great to drive up in the pooring rain to celebrate last minute at my house. I got sprinkles cupcakes and they were amazing! She got some really cute outfits for this new little girl!

Supper Club Lunch
Its back! Our Supper Club that we did a while back is here again. This time we did a lunch which I thought was perfect! Nights are soo busy. It was great to see everyone again :)
day of service
So we were assigned to paint this small building that looked disgusting and old. This was a great project for the kids because they couldn't mess it up. Even Savannah could slap some white paint on. My kids have never painted before and oh my gosh they had no clue, they were slopping paint everywhere! But it turned out fine! After that we went to Melissa and picked up hundreds of beer bottles and trash off the road. Savannah was such a trooper. We rewarded her with a sonic blast. Laman and Lemuel were another story. They worked hard but complained the whole time. I would just look at them and say "murmur, murmur, murmur" Carter fell somewhere in the middle with his attitude. Then we went to the church to write letters to the troops. We were done by noon and took the kids and the dog to the football field to play. Then haircuts, and Billy took Savannah and Carter to the schools fall festival. Then we had the missionaries over for dinner. It was a busy day but didn't seem like it. Fun and relaxing!
Funny story (only so I can remember haha) When I let the dog loose on the football field she still had her leash on. She ran full speed past carter to her open freedom. He turned right at that second and the end of the leash wrapped around his ankle....needless to say at the speed she was running he was airborn and when he came down it was face first in the grass....I thought he had broken another tooth but it was just a busted lip...It was sad but hilarious at the same time...I couldn't stop laughing...I am a terrible mom. I think he cried more at my laughing than the busted lip...lol.

Texas State Fair
UPDATE: the week after we went, Big Tex Burned to the ground!!
I love my memories of the state fair! This year I had the fried twinkie, the fried pecan pie, and the fried frito pie! Every year I have to try something fried. They were all good but the pecan pie was the best! Cody won a basketball playing games, Cam and Carter found 30 dollars and paid 10 dollars a piece to ride the scary high ride in the sky that fits two to a cage and flips upside down. Carter threw up after. Savannah and I went to the butterfly exhibit. There were hundreds of butterflies flying around...I even got a picture of the "great Mormon" butterfly...lol! Savannah and I also went on a crazy fast rollercoaster that starts forwards and then half way through goes backwards. I love that ride and so did she :)

Savannah's 6th Birthday
Savannah and I had a skip school day and went to the American Girl store again this year. She picked out another Bitty Baby. (this one had to have hair!) Then we went to Sprinkles which has the best cupcakes ever! For our family dinner she invited her favorite primary teacher to come too and we had cake and grandma and grandpa got her a bike she loves and rides to school everyday!
