smores and football

The Cowboys had a playoff game and we decided to cook smores over the fire since it has been so cold. Carter dropped one of his in the ashes and that is the one he is holding out making a funny face. We learned from the last time we did this, to put out a huge blanket on the floor because often time the marshmellows go flying and leave a horrible sticky mess, we even had a couple that were still on fire fall off onto the blanket...

making cookies

We are supposed to have one of the coldest nights ever tonight. We are also going to get rain/sleet. I decided since the kids probably won't have school tomorrow we would makee a fire and cook sugar cookies. Savannah got some new cookie cutters for Christmas and has been asking to use them. I love the picture at the end when she realized she had already frosted all of her cookies and there weren't anymore! Carter might as well of been a blue smurf for all the blue frosting he kept getting all over himself. Cameron worked on his cookies like a piece of artwork and he was very impressed with the end result. Cody and Billy were at scouts.

Last day of winter break

Today was the last day of fun with the kids before they had to go back to school. We've seen several movies, eaten out, gone to hang out with friends and family, played in the snow, at parks, amusement places, shopped using gcards and Christmas cash,and to end it; we went to a bounce house that the kids love and they spent most of their time playing dodgeball! Its been alot of fun. I have really enjoyed not having a schedule or commitments for sports and church and school. If they didn't fight with each other I would be glad to have them home all the time but since they do....I am looking a little forward to school starting up again tomorrow and soon will be anxious to have them again for springbreak!!

New Years Eve

Every year we go to Aprilles and Trevors for New Years Eve. We always play spoons. Billy won the trophy with the bent spoon on top. It gets a little violent at times and I never stood a chance with two guys on either side of me. I have no idea how to make the second picture bigger...I took it off facebk.

Amazing Jakes

For New years day we took the kids to one of their favorite places. Its in the mall and called Amazing Jakes. They have rockwallclimbing,gokarts,lasertag,bumpercars,bowling,putput,arcadegames,all you can eat pizza buffet with icecream and more. Its really a fun place because it has stuff for all ages. Savannah and I joined them after our girly time!

mommy daughter day

While the boys spent they day at Amazing Jakes with Dad, Savannah and I hung out in the mall. We had lunch at chick-fillet and while she ate I read her the book that came with it. Then we went to gymboree where I got her this cute outfit and more:0! After that we hit the Disney store where at first she picked out a 3$ toy and I convinced her to keep looking. She then decided on the whole set of Cinderella toys. I can see how you can spend a lot of money in there! They have costumes and really nice barbie size princesses with their matching prince. We then did some shopping for me and went to the play area. The BEST part of the day was when she was holding my hand and looked up at me and said "mommy I am having such a good time with you." It made my heart melt!!... Finally we met up with the boys for some rides,food and fun.
