San Antonio

This is possibly the longest post ever. Since its vacation and this is our only album I put it all on here. Sure missed having Cody with us as he was at Scout Camp. It was a hard realization that this is just the beginning of pictures with missing family members. Weather its scout camp, college, or missions it is true that we won't always be together to enjoy in these memories :(

So on that note: We went to San Antonio for Billys school board convention and it was great for us since they paid for the room and gave us check for meals. It covered all our activities! The hotel had a pool so we spent A LOT of time there and on the river walk eating out. We saw the new Karate kid and Shrek the 4th. We went to a haunted house and Savannah was so scared as she buried her head into Billys neck with her eyes closed. We also went to the Guinnes Book of World records. It was pretty neat and had a lot of hands on stuff for the kiddos. We also did the Laura Croft virtual tomb rider ride. We saw the Alamo and my favorite was the Rain Forest Cafe with the hidden animals that all of a sudden would come to life with sound. There were baby ducks on the river walk and you would of thought that there wasn't a bigger attraction. We chased them all over the place. We ate out with friends who were also on the school board and had a great time.

We won?

After a long day of baseball games Billy took the kids to the Brookeshires carnival for the free icecream and games. (I stayed home to sleep) They came home and Cam had won a free basketball goal! He made the most consecutive baskets in the 8-17 year old age bracket and he won! He was so excited because the hoop we had was really ghetto and had been bought for 10$ at a garage sale.

Camping

So I took the boys camping (by myself) it was too hot for Billy so he kept Savannah. A bunch of our ward families came so it was a blast. My main push for going was so Cam could pass off some scout stuff that I wanted done at the father and son but it was rained out. We went to a members land and they fed animals, did archery, volleyball, teather ball and cooked smores and hot dogs. We brought home a new family member...Speedy the turtle. He is fast. We have already lost him a couple of times. They had a great time until in the middle of the night it started POURING and are tents couldnt keep up and we ended up sleeping in the van and left at the crack of dawn with everything caked in mud...Billy just laughed and said "I told you it would be bad" but it wasn't until 2am :)

talent show

so Carter took this pic when I performed with some friends to the Miley Cirus Country Ho down for the ward talent show. It is the only one I got but the video is on youtube. Also Billy did a skit with the guys about cleaning the building Napolean Dynomite style and it was hilarious. (also in you tube)

randoms

I like the one where I came out of my room to find Carter and Savannah on the barstools looking through the peep-hole and waiting anxiously for our friends to come over for an ice cream party. Savannah was also given a new kitchen with apron and chef hat too from some other friends. It came with nicer pans than I have :0
